Heaven. Hell. And the Justice System.
Maria takes pride in providing justice to people who are unable to fight for themselves. In doing so, Maria has had to witness humanity at some of its lowest point. However, in this interview we discussed that Maria, and lawyers just like her, go through hell to bring people to heaven.

The Anatomy of Divorce

Maria believes that there are two primary causes of divorce; Unfaithfulness and economics. In addition, the need to fight for marriage is declining as partners become more ‘disposable’. Although family-law incrues a lot of emotion, her job is to stay strong for customers and navigate them through the process. Maria also debunks the theory of New York’s family court system being being biased towards particular demographics.  

Improving the U.S.
Immigration System

Maria stated that the immigration system in America is in a ‘crisis level’. However, she believes that there are ways we can improve the system. We need a mixture of  bipartisan support, humane practices institutions such as USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services), ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) , and CBP (Customs and Border Protection).
